Over the course of 11 days, you’ll learn about the ancient Incan civilization, both by visiting its ruins and by meeting locals who’ve kept Incan traditions alive. In modern Lima, you’ll have the chance to explore the thriving capital of Peru. Then, your tour takes you to the open-air markets of colonial Cuzco, up into the Andes and finally to Machu Picchu, the mythic “lost city of the Incas.”

Walking on tour:
Travelers should be prepared for some high altitude travel on the Ancient Peru & Machu Picchu tour, which may make walking more difficult. While sightseeing will never involve strenuous hikes, some walks and climbs over very old ruins and uneven, rocky or jungle terrain will occur. Travelers should be comfortable with climbing steps and small hills.
